Located in the heart of Ireland, this Award Winning Family Farm was recently featured on National Television.

  
  Take a break at Glendeer Open Farm, signposted on the N6, just west of Athlone. Stretch your legs along the unspoilt nature walk where old horse drawn farm machinery can be viewed.
Feed the Pet Animals, which include deer, Vietnamese pot belly pigs, ponies, donkeys, Jersey cows, sheep, goats, peacocks and other rare birds and domestic fowl.
The children can play on the slide, swings, seesaws and very popular glider swing, while adults enjoy a refreshing cup of tea or coffee with freshly made sandwiches and home-made cakes.

A tuck shop, with soft drinks. ice cream, sweets etc., picnic areas and toilet facilities are also provided.
The farm has been designed so that visitors can mingle with all the pet animals.

We have the ideal situation at Glendeer Farm for tours. The freedom children experience in the play area is fantastic, after they have been on their guided tour of the farm. The guide tells the group all about the animals which wander freely around the farm.
Other attractions are a restored cottage, nature walk, old horse drawn farm machinery, picnic area and our tuck shop selling souvenirs and a selection of dried flower arrangements.
