Situated in the south of County Westmeath, the Belvedere Trail is a scenic route from the town of Mullingar where the visitor can choose to travel on the N52 and visit beautiful Belvedere House, Gardens and Park overlooking Lough Ennell and Lilliput, where there is a lovely lakeshore amenity park, Ballinagore village and Kilbeggan-famous for the Locke's Whiskey Distillery Museum and horseracing and journey back to Mullingar via the picturesque village to Tyrrellpass...

 

Lough Ree Trail Lough Ree, taken from the Irish Loch Ri meaning the Lake of Kings is a lake of the mighty River Shannon and is situated north of Athlone town. The Lough Ree Trail is a very scenic driving or cycling route centered around this majestic lake and which travels through the three counties of Longford, Westmeath and Roscommon.

Angling in Westmeath
Indispensable to the keen angler, this guide, contains an abundance of fishing waters including the premier Brown Trout Loughs Owel, Ennell, Lene and Sheelin. Also included are Loughs Ree and Derravaragh, the rivers Inny and Shannon and the Royal Canal.
